I wandered lonely as a cloud.....

So on Friday (which is our weekend) I was woken by a phone call which went something like this....

(Josh) "Tess, you need to get up. Danny is not coming so we have an extra place for ski-diving.."
(Tess) "Huh?"
(Josh) "We'll be at your in 5 minutes"
(Tess) "Huh?"
(Josh) "Your jumping, see you outside in 5 mins"
(Tess) "Huh?...Ok!"

So we went to Umm Al Quwaim Aero club where 8 of us then selected an envelope which would decide our jumping order...And you've guessed it...I pulled "Congratulations, you get to jump 1st!!"

I wont lie and say that sky-diving has always been on my list of things to do, but it was worth it just for the scenery!

And when it came time to move to the door sill at 9,500ft, I was strangely eager to jump...

The free-falling was an amazing experience which I will never forget...not very glamourous though!

Bonus..the parachutte opened!

And back to basics...the ground!

Oh, Tessa! I cannot believe you did it. Never in a million years could I jump out of a perfectly good plane. You have some guts, girl! Thank you for the pictures and the story. - Wendi

If I'd known before the event, I would have been straight on a plane to Dubai to talk some sense into you! However, now that you've done it, I think it's great and incredibly brave, well done but tell Josh that's enough now!!

I'm a little slow in reading the blog but don't want my admiration and amazement to go unrecorded. Wow - really - WOW!
